Cosmetic Injectables: How Long Do Results Last?
As a non-surgical alternative to a facelift, many of our patients now turn to injectables and fillers to reduce wrinkles and restore lost facial volume. BOTOX® Cosmetic can effectively reduce or eliminate the appearance of furrows between the eyebrows, horizontal forehead creases, and crow’s feet. Dermal fillers such as Radiesse® or JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC can replenish volume in the areas around the mouth and cheeks. When combined, these injectables and fillers can produce a “liquid facelift” that can make you look younger and more revitalized without the need for surgery.
However, many of our patients wonder how long the results of these treatments last. The effects of BOTOX® Cosmetic typically can be seen within 48 hours of the procedure, and the results often last three to four months or longer. Radiesse®, Restylane-L®, JUVÉDERM® XC, and Perlane-L® can provide a youthful fullness to your facial features that usually lasts 6-12 months. The benefits of JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC, specifically designed to restore lost cheek volume, can last up to two years. Though the duration of these effects vary from product to product as well as from patient to patient. The results of these injectables and dermal fillers can be maintained with periodic follow-up appointments so you can always look your best.
