Dysport® is a sought-after neurotoxin injectable. Similar in composition to BOTOX® Cosmetic, this treatment was developed to address moderate to severe dynamic wrinkles (namely glabellar lines), which form as a result of repetitive facial movements. When properly administered, Dysport® can create a smoother and more youthful facial aesthetic – without the need for surgery or extensive recovery.

What Is Dysport®?

Dysport® is a neuromodulator injectable composed of abobotulinumtoxinA, the same active ingredient found in BOTOX® Cosmetic; however, because Dysport® contains fewer proteins than BOTOX® Cosmetic, it is known to sometimes diffuse more effectively.* While Dysport® was created to reduce the appearance of glabellar (“frown”) lines, which appear between the eyebrows, it can also be used to soften wrinkles around the eyes, nose, mouth, and lower face.

How Is Dysport® Administered?

The Dysport® procedure is performed very similarly to the other injectables offered at our practice. After numbing the area with a topical anesthetic, your provider will carefully inject the solution into the treatment area with a small, sterile needle. The process rarely exceeds 15 minutes in length, and patients are usually able to return to work immediately.

While the results of Dysport® are typically very noticeable, please note that its effects are designed to be temporary. For this reason, patients often opt to come in for multiple treatment sessions.

How Much Does Dysport® Cost?

At our practice, pricing for Dysport® starts at $14/unit .Please note, however, that the final cost can be influenced by the number of units administered; the number of sessions performed; the incorporation of additional treatments; and other variables.
