What Is AcuPulse™ and Lumenis® FemTouch™?
The natural process of aging affects us all, and it can cause concerns in areas we never realized. In addition to changes in skin quality on the face and body, feminine anatomy can also undergo transformation—and not always for the better. Many women experience vaginal dryness, skin laxity, muscle atrophy, and urinary incontinence as they age or as a result of childbirth. Fortunately, our experienced plastic surgeon, Dr. Anthony Wilson, and our skilled physician’s assistant, Sarah Proulx, utilize an advanced technological system, which can enhance gynecological health and function, as well as to revitalize the skin. It’s called AcuPulse™.
The AcuPulse™ system includes a broad range of applicators that can achieve different goals. One of the most popular, the FemTouch™, is a small, thin, cylindrical appliance that uses a CO2 fractional laser to stimulate tissue remodeling along the vaginal wall. This process is done in the privacy of our office, and Sarah is available for any patients who prefer to have a woman perform the procedure. The treatment is designed to be brief, typically lasting only a few minutes, and most individuals report little to no discomfort. We generally recommend patients undergo two to four sessions to achieve optimal results.
In addition to the FemTouch™ applicator, Dr. Wilson and Sarah also utilize the AcuScan120™, which is designed to address moderate to severe sun damage, wrinkles, uneven skin texture, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, actinic keratosis, and other skin concerns.
The SurgiTouch™ Advanced Scanner is another innovative device, which uses a number of applicators to treat common foot ailments, such as plantar warts, toenail fungus, and ingrown toenails, as well as pigmented lesions at various surface depths of the skin.
If you’re struggling with changes in your appearance, feminine health or foot conditions, AcuPulse™ and Lumenis® FemTouch™ may be able to help. Talk to us today to learn more.
