Dr. Richard L. Zeff uses BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers to help qualified patients reverse – or prevent – fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of facial volume.

Stratham, NH – Dr. Richard L. Zeff, a plastic surgeon in New Hampshire, offers a number of injectable treatments at his private practice to maximize the results of aesthetic procedures such as eyelid surgery or facelift. He emphasizes, however, that these non-surgical cosmetic injectables can also provide significant facial rejuvenation when used on their own. By combining them, Dr. Zeff says he can achieve a “liquid facelift” to help his patients retain a youthful appearance.

Many of Dr. Zeff’s patients ask if it is possible to obtain the results of a facelift without surgery. While the New Hampshire plastic surgeon says, “there is no replacement for the transformation a facelift can provide,” he highlights the many benefits of injectable treatments. BOTOX® Cosmetic can help to smooth fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing hyperactive muscles below the skin’s surface, he says. Dermal fillers, including Radiesse®, Restylane®, and JUVÉDERM®, can diminish the appearance of folds and creases around the mouth, he adds; and with JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC, patients can even replenish lost volume in the cheeks to improve the contours of the face for a youthful fullness with even longer lasting results.

To determine candidacy for BOTOX® Cosmetic or dermal fillers, Dr. Zeff says he and his nurse injectionist review the medical records of each patient to ensure there is no history of muscle conditions, nerve conditions, or allergies that would put the individual at risk. The side effects of these injectable treatments typically will be minimal, and he indicates that symptoms commonly include temporary redness or tenderness at the injection site. He also states that the duration of the results of cosmetic injectables varies depending upon the product and patient. According to the New Hampshire plastic surgeon, BOTOX® Cosmetic can reduce or eliminate the appearance of lines and wrinkles for approximately three to four months while JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC can replenish lost cheek volume for up to two years.

After listening to patients’ individual cosmetic goals, Dr. Zeff can design a custom-tailored treatment plan to effectively address their unique concerns. In addition to helping individuals achieve a younger appearance without surgery, he also notes that many of his younger patients use injectables and dermal fillers as a preventive measure to combat the natural signs of aging before they can fully take effect. He says that many of his patients also choose to schedule follow-up appointments to maximize and maintain the results of these injectable treatments.

Dr. Zeff and his nurse injectionist, Cynthia Wrocklage, RN, CPSN, have a combined experience of close to 30 years with injectables.
